ReFi Medellín aims to address city-based pressing challenges, including resource flows such as energy, water, sanitation, housing, and education. Through web3 enabled regenerative-oriented-innovations, the project implicitly supports ecological regeneration, which could align with metacrisis verticals related to biodiversity collapse and grid fragility. Its focus on empowering youth and sustainable urbanism serves as a means to tackle horizontal topic areas like perverse incentives in economic development that typically disregard environmental sustainability.
