GG21: Thriving Arbitrum Summer Eligibility
Thank ARB is supporting the growth and development of the Arbitrum ecosystem through a quadratic funding round. This round will allocate funds to support contributions to projects building on Arbitrum, focusing on core infrastructure, developer tooling, and innovative dApps & Apps. Objectives - Support projects with previous contributions to the Arbitrum Ecosystem. - Encourage wider Web3 community involvement through donations to projects, using donation volume as an indicator of engagement. - Drive innovation and development within the Arbitrum ecosystem, particularly on Stylus and Arbitrum Orbit Chains. Round Philosophy - Collaborative Approach: We encourage projects that seek to complement and enhance existing initiatives rather than competing directly against them. The success of this round is viewed as a collective achievement, benefiting the entire Arbitrum ecosystem. - Long-term Vision: We value projects demonstrating a commitment to sustained impact and growth within the Arbitrum ecosystem. This round may be part of a series of recurring funding opportunities, and projects showing long-term potential will be well-positioned for future support. - Community-Driven Success: The collaborative nature and positive community engagement in this round will influence the planning of future funding opportunities.
Requirements
- Arbitrum Ecosystem Contributions Projects must focus on contributing to the growth, development, and enhancement of the Arbitrum ecosystem within one or more of the following themes: - Core Infrastructure: Projects should address crucial development, scalability, and security needs while providing innovative solutions to current challenges. - Developer Tooling: Projects should improve developer efficiency and accessibility by creating or enhancing development environments, frameworks, testing tools, or libraries that enable secure and efficient smart contracts and application development on Arbitrum. - dApps & Apps: Projects should accelerate the adoption and development of applications offering novel utilities or services, demonstrating innovative use cases and user-centric design with the potential to impact on the Arbitrum ecosystem's growth and user base. - Stylus: Projects should promote the adoption and development of Stylus for writing EVM-compatible smart contracts in languages like Rust, creating more efficient and performant smart contracts, developing tools facilitating Stylus adoption, and showcasing innovative use cases unique to Stylus. - Arbitrum Orbit Chains: Projects should encourage creating and utilizing Arbitrum Orbit Chains for specialized use cases, focus on creating or significantly enhancing Orbit Chains, develop supporting tools and infrastructure, and implement cross-chain solutions that leverage the unique properties of Orbit Chains.
- Community Engagement and Impact - Demonstrate a commitment to engaging with the Arbitrum and the broader Web3 community. - Show a proactive approach to self-marketing and community engagement - Participate in community events, create educational content, and actively engage with the Arbitrum community on social media platforms - Outline strategies for driving user adoption and fostering a supportive environment for other projects within the ecosystem
- Technical Feasibility and Roadmap - Present a clear and feasible roadmap detailing milestones and deliverables over time. - Showcase the team's expertise and ability to execute the project successfully within the proposed timeline
- Funding and Budget - Articulate how the funds would be utilized to maximize the project's ongoing impact within the Arbitrum ecosystem.
- Ethical and Community Standards - No Hateful Content: We firmly stand against discrimination and hate speech - Deceiving Users: Prohibited is any content that could harm users or lead to unintended consequences - Falsification: Attempts to falsify contributions, including Sybil attacks or other manipulative practices, are strictly banned - Fraud & Impersonation: Projects must accurately represent their affiliation and intentions to maintain transparency and trust - No Quid Pro Quo & Bribery: Incentives in exchange for donations are disallowed, maintaining the integrity of the contribution process. For this round, we will follow Gitcoin's standard for QPQ - Advertising Restrictions: Utilizing grants for direct promotional activities or sales is prohibited - Legal Compliance: Mandatory compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for participation - Positive Community Interaction: Projects are expected to maintain a supportive attitude towards other participants, contributing to a collaborative and constructive funding environment
