MesoReefDAO, in collaboration with AuraSci, has launched a dedicated round focused on Coral Reef Restoration Activities to enhance community engagement, promote knowledge sharing, leverage technology for conservation through open-source code, and foster collaborative solutions. This initiative aligns with the broader goals of the Reef Futures 2024 symposium and the MesoReefDAO workshop, which emphasize the critical role of local stakeholders in coral restoration efforts. Key Objectives of the Initiative: Enhance Community Engagement: By actively involving local communities in coral restoration projects, this initiative aims to empower those who depend on healthy reef ecosystems for their livelihoods. Engaging community members fosters stewardship and cultivates a sense of ownership over local marine resources. Promote Knowledge Sharing: The round will facilitate workshops and training sessions where participants can exchange insights and best practices in coral restoration. This collaborative learning environment is essential for building capacity among stakeholders and ensuring that restoration efforts are informed by both scientific research and traditional ecological knowledge. Requirements

• Coral Reef Restoration/Conservation Projects with a socio-ecological component: Focusing on initiatives in low-income, lower-middle, and upper-middle-income countries (OECD).
• Eligible Entities: Academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, independent researchers, and collectives.
• Team Requirements: At least one individual is required to undertake the project.
