Global Chinese Community Round at GG19 Eligibility

The Global Chinese Community Round is for all Public Goods project related to Chinese-speaking community. This round aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development, ultimately leading to positive and transformative impacts in the public goods area in Global Chinese Community. This time, our round focuses are: Cryptography tech, Staking/LSD-fi related tech, Web3 Social, Dev Tools & Dev Communities, Security, Policy Advocacy and Research & Tooling of decentralized governance. This round is co-hosted by GCC, Metapool and Mask Network, GCC is a community fund that mainly focuses on supporting digital public goods projects related to the global Chinese-speaking community.Meta Pool is a multi-chain, liquid-staking based ecosystem whoso objective is to provide easy and permissionless access to Web3 financial tools for everybody.Mask Network is a cutting-edge browser extension supercharges your web browsing experience, seamlessly connects Web2 with the decentralized, censorship-resistant world of Web3.

Requirements

  • The Grant must be in support of or directly advance the Global Chinese Community ecosystem; At least one founder or core team member uses Chinese as their daily language
  • Projects haven’t received significant external funding via venture capital, token launches, or NFT sales
  • Projects must be at least 1-month old and have a PoC/MVP. We will use Twitter, web domain registration date, and other public info to determine this. Newer projects should establish themselves and submit to the next round.

  • Grantees who received funding in a previous round(s) must provide a new update on their progress and impact.
  • The Grant owner must be directly affiliated with the project, the funds must go to the project and be used for the purposes stated in Grant’s details.
  • Grantees can be eliminated from consideration in the round if they are found to be encouraging or enabling Sybil attacks or other forms of malicious manipulation of the grants platform or the Gitcoin community.
