AgroforestDAO is a growing movement creating tangible and intangible agricultural public goods. 🫘

As shown in our Manifesto, these dire times demand innovation for the socioecological inclusion of humans, aka human stigmergy. Will we ever be able to coordinate as a "human beehive"?

Right now, those of us building a urban-rural bridge are usually on their own, with no support and facing the difficulties of poor and often unfair local markets.

Our pilot in Brazil: September 2023

Our DAO celebrates seasonality and recognize all the commons being built by those stewarding perennial food systems that will live even longer themselves. We are creating web3 rails to allow for co-stewardship. From buying an NFT representing a share of the harvest to experiencing an activity IRL (and getting Hypercerts for it). This way, anyone can find different levels of engagement with cultivated land, all while building a long term reputation in the global tribe, spring after spring.

We are also building methods to shed light in the intangible value involved in the seasonal culture, so those agentes IRL can their dedication recognized. As an example, in Q4 2023 we minted NFT badges for Seed Stewardship, and added their seeds to our Charmverse workspace.

These Seedsnfts represent the commitment of the steward with a specific specie and the multiplication of seeds, distribution and sales can track all the stewards envolved with this genetic bank, what opens room for RetroPGF in the agricultural context.

In our Charmverse we are building frameworks to distribute bounties and badges for stewards, mentors, apprentices and other agents involved in keeping the agroforestry culture.

One month after planting November 2023

We are now building tools to onbard gardeners that are commited to design in the open and for the long term, establish and follow successional systems, and willing to create updated content as proofs of work.

Another one of our goals is to build knowledge among the urban and tech community of followers regarding the impact of on the ground regenerative strategies such as Syntropic Agroforestry so we can together cocreate #junglepunk futures.

The Spring/Summer season is coming to an end in the southern hemisphere, and we are ready to share the Fall/Winter action to our followers and supporters. By sharing our seasonal agenda we aim to educate the tech community about nature's cycles and how we can engage with them as a network.

Stewarding food forests is not an easy task, but we don't feel alone anymore, instead we feel backed by a global community.

This glocal worldview can actually be the solution to recreate community-owned intergenerational agriculture in this 21st century.
