Bankless Card is a payment card that enables users to support their community by redirecting 1-2% of transaction fees to it, rewarding users with community tokens used for voting.

Bankless Card came from the desire to bridge the UX gap between web3 and the real world. Through extensive user research of DAOs and contributors, we've found a way to bridge the gap: a payment card that allows users to support their community.

Every time you swipe a payment card, 1-2% of the total price goes to banks as interchange revenue. Bankless Card allows users to redirect a piece of that towards their community of choice. Users are rewarded in community tokens, which they can then use to vote, right in the app.

We have started with DAO contributors, but our ultimate goal is to create a frictionless onramp for the crypto-curious. It currently takes hours (or days!) of research for people to engage in the web3 ecosystem. Bankless Card will allow any user to start contributing within minutes instead of days by eliminating the biggest UX issues up front (i.e. gas fees, DEX's, etc) and teaching users about these core self-custody concepts over time in the app itself. The result is an app that teaches people how to use web3 simply by using the app itself.
