Closer is a team of people crafting a digital interface to power IRL regenerative communities. We build at the intersection of web3 and land stewardship. Our goal is to empower sovereign regenerative communities taking action in real life by crafting technology that supports them in creating planet positive outcomes. Current mainstream ownership models are outdated, we want to drive the move from ownership to stewardship. 🌐🌱

Our vision is one of a world where communities have all the tools to start physical spaces that bootstrap regenerative action in all social, economical and earthly domains. In this world, we share know-how and resources and collaborative and decentralized decision-making is easily accessible and implemented. We have shifted the way we see ownership, property and power and we started instead to care and steward for places, people and land. 🏡🌍

Closer has been building a booking platform that enables token-based on-chain access to temporary living spaces with proof of presence tracking. The team has been working on developing the MVP to be used and tested by the Traditional Dream Factory (TDF) - a regenerative co-living village & Europe's first land based DAO -, and is now looking to expand and onboard new IRL communities.

The MVP of the platform, used by the Traditional Dream Factory, provides:

• 📊 Member dashboard;
• 🏠 Co-living booking system with the $TDF token deployed on Celo;
• ⌛ Proof of Presence (the amount of time spent physically per year) and Proof of Sweat (quantification of labour applied) tracking and distribution system.

In the coming months, and with support of funds from GR18, we’re working on the following improvements:

• ⚖️ Enabling on-chain governance with the token;
• 🏷 Enabling on-chain NFT-based membership;
• 🌟 User-friendly on-site presence gathering;
• 🖥️ Making the admin-facing UI more accessible & inclusive to non-web3 natives;
• 📱 Fully mobile-friendly solution;
• 📣 Closer landing page, marketing materials & Product Discovery workshop;
• 🌐 Onboard new IRL communities to Closer and web3.
