Introduction
DataverseOS is the first web3-native operating system with identity sovereignty and data ownership. It is built to fix the internet from scratch, so developer can build user-centric dApps upon a programmable data layer that users truly control identities, contents, data and even algorithms.
It redefines how users can interact with the web. The main user interfaces include:
- the web computer to visualize & monetize personal data over dApps, e.g., posts/follows/likes;
- the data wallet for identity authentication and dApp programmability, simply “Connect Identity”.
- ... browser, html and Internet algorithm
Web3 Kernel
The core system is the web3 kernel for managing web3 protocols and resources, including Ceramic identity, data streams, file system, Lit access controls, databases, data monetization and more. The kernel exposes SystemCalls to developers, so they can build web3 dApp without identity & storage backends, 10x easier.
Dev Stacks
You can explore DataverseOS stacks by using create-dataverse-app framework or fork the playground example to learn more primitives. Ideas on storage-based dApps:
- create more social components to #dataverse ecosystem, e.g. data models for follows/comments
- create non-social tool applications, e.g. notes/news/music.
