Etica is a blockchain aimed at incentivizing open-source medical research using ETI, a cryptocurrency, with expected annual inflation for ongoing research funding after initial distribution.

Etica is a blockchain for Open Source medical research without intellectual property. Researchers can submit open-source research on the Etica blockchain and receive rewards in the ETI cryptocurrency within a couple weeks. ETI is the currency that facilitates the research system of Etica Protocol, it is a mineable coin. There will be 2.1 million ETI issued every year for 10 years, once we reach 21 million ETI there will be a fixed inflation of about 1% to finance the research rewards.

Etica blockchain was launched on April 17th, 2022.
