FAB DAO, Formosa Art Bank DAO, aims to be a part of web3's public space. Its primary focus is on cultural NFT creation, preservation and building a multi-disciplinary community that blends public good, art, and culture through collaborative efforts.
In the 18th Gitcoin Grant, we raised approximately 1,500 DAI, which has been fully utilized for the experimental implementation of the Grant Stack experiment in the Traditional Chinese world and the GreenPill Network a.k.a GreenSofa in Taiwan context. This initiative fosters more non-profit actions to experience Quadratic Funding. In the upcoming 19th Gitcoin Grant, the funds raised will be infused into the Art Bank Fund. We aim to collect and support web3 actions that are non-profit, culturally significant, and timely, following the model of a decentralized committee.
With NFTs as a blank canvas of possibilities, FAB DAO's main mission is to promote a diverse range of cultural NFT projects, making "donating while collecting" a reality. This way, NFTs carrying spiritual values become innovative blockchain certificates for charitable donations.
Over the past 15 months, FAB DAO has successfully completed more than 20 projects. Unlike other Web3 communities, FAB DAO doesn't focus on building its own tools or becoming a dedicated project. Instead, it gradually explores the possibilities of Web3 nonprofit initiatives through shared experiences and connections in Taiwan. More information about completed projects can be found here (in Traditional Chinese).
