HerbRegen Roofs
A sustainable initiative in Vietnam repurposes household waste to grow medicinal herbs, promoting ecological balance and affordable healthcare through oriental medicine practices.

Introducing HerbRegen Roofs - A sustainable effort dedicated to ecological preservation.

HerbRegen Roofs is a continuation of the original project, 'Thich Trong Thuoc,' which was established in 2021 but put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded by four biochemistry professionals and oriental medicine practitioners in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the project aims to address the dual challenge of ecological and environmental sustainability:

  • Regeneration of household waste: Introducing an innovative method to grow medicinal herbs using repurposed materials.
  • Endorsing the oriental medicine approach to the local community which enables everyone to access affordable healthcare from their own homes.

THE CALLING Vietnam, an Asian country accredited for its rich traditions in oriental medicine, has developed a wide range of treatments using herbs. The philosophy of our work extends beyond curing illness; we aim to restore the balance between individuals and their surrounding environment. This is how we define sustainability

We firmly believe that HerbRegen Roofs is a good practice that anyone can do. Not only does it address the growing concern over waste, but it also creates lush, green spaces for families at no cost.

ROADMAP The project is developed in 3 stages:

  • Stage 1: Concept formation and testing products.
  • Stage 2: GTM and community building.
  • Stage 3: Establish nurseries and expand HerbRegen Roofs to other provinces in Vietnam.
