Using Avalanche blockchain and DAO governance, Isbjorn aims to aid polar bear conservation by funding missions and developing educational games, while engaging users in decision-making through $IGGY tokens.

Isbjorn is an initiative on the Avalanche blockchain in operation since August 2021. Focused on increasing efforts to save the polar bears, using DAO capabilities for users to discuss and decide the specifics of our Arctic conservation missions in collaboration with Polar Bear International.

This mission started as a way to increase positive market sentiment on Avalanche by showcasing the functionality of DAO governance in real world scenarios. By holding $IGGY, users have influence and can track the progress of long and short term conservation missions.

We are currently working on a simple educational game for PBI (Polar Bear International)'s schools program. Learning about the lifecycle of the Arctic ecosystem, and highlighting the efforts from PBI to track and trace polar bear populations.

Most of the Arctic, due to it's harsh climate, is low in data relating to polar bear populations. Our initial mission is focused on providing technology capable of identifying the regions that need support, in order to prioritise the areas needing conservation.
