The jointly created platform “jpnft”, with development supported by the Japanese Government's J-LOD (Subsidy Project of the Japan Content Localization and Distribution) funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Indsutry (METI), allows Japanese content IP owners to authorize and license Web3 products for the usage of Japanese media intellectual property (IP), contributing to the establishment of a secure NFT marketplace.

Currently, fraudulent NFTs and pirated IP usage are present in but not exclusive to Polygon. The absence of an IP certification platform poses a barrier for major Japanese IP holders and developers seeking to contribute to the Polygon NFT/Dapps space.

By bringing JPNFT's Ethereum based system to Polygon, we provide the tools for major Japanese media IP holders to easily distinguish their official NFTs/Dapps from fraudulent IP usage on the ecosystem. This also helps users to verify and purchase decentralized assets with licensed IP usage. Ultimately, helping to establish trust from major Japanese IP holders in the Web3 world through the Polygon ecosystem.
