Creating a network of solarpunk regenerative spaces to reduce living costs and promote eco-friendly practices. Collaborative effort under Planetary Council, inviting skilled contributors and supporters.

This was another iteration of Island DAO. We are passionate about regeneration. The meme in play: regenerate the space (create a hub) to regenerate the world around it.

The regeneration part wasn’t limited to the island part, in fact it’s easier to work when logistics is easier. But then https://GrainTower.org (also on the list of projects) happened.

Maybe a group of nomads with construction / refurbishment / tech skills? Investing sweat equity? Finding a space making it habitable, removing rent, reducing monthly burn rate.

Back in the day https://www.instagram.com/nu_mundo/ was pretty good, aggregating loads of eco-villages and regen projects around the world.

As the regen / solarpunk vibes are becoming more mainstream, maybe time to revisit?

All projects in this round are under the umbrella of the Planetary Council. Too many of them 🙈 Need to focus, need to prioritise, that’s why dedicated round acting as community vote. We also welcome (more than welcome) potential supporters and collaborators

Starting a project (hackathon or otherwise) is just a first step on the journey. Some people are better with starting multiple projects (connectedness, finding gaps in the market) some people are better as BUSINESS OPERATORS who enjoy single minded focus.
