Origins
Sovr project started out as a tool that integrated Golem network's compute prowess into FairOS-DFS and Swarm network's storage facilities. The whole idea revolves around the concept of compute pods. A compute pod is simply a set of files that define how a Golem task should run, what are the inputs, outputs, and finally where the logs are going to be held. All these files are finally stored in decentralized storage facilities of DFS and Swarm. The tool that is in charge of persisting, sharing, and running compute pods is called the Sovr CLI. This effort has been backed by a generous(both financially and intellectually) grant from the Swarm association and we are very grateful to them.

we have prepared a draft essay that outlines our vision for a possible(one of many) future of virtual computers with the emphasis on rich communication between computers. The essay is available here.
Right now we are exploring this vision and doing research hoping to materialize it into a tooling that gives birth to a new style of computing.
We need and seek your support.
Cheers!
