Tamera is an international research and education center, supported by a community of about 160 people stewarding 140 hectares in southern Portugal. Established with the understanding that today’s global crises require profound societal transformation, Tamera has, for nearly 30 years, focused on creating a human settlement that embodies ecological, technological, social, and cultural foundations for a regenerative and nonviolent way of life.
