Web3 Talks is where you can learn how your favorite projects, such as Zapper, Gnosis, Farcaster, Zora, or WalletConnect, have been built.
I interview the founders of these projects, and they share a backstage perspective, telling us about their tactics, hard decisions, and lesson learned along the way.
Thanks to that web3 builder community can learn from their experiences and distill the best practices for running crypto projects.
As we're focused on builders, we don't talk high-level VC stuff like "What is Metaverse?" or trading-oriented things such as "Which coin should you invest in 2022?".
Instead, we focus on specific questions such as "How have you acquired your first users?", "How do you take care of your community?" or "What were the biggest technical challenges you've faced so far?
The podcast already has 48 episodes recorded and 1,500+ subscribers - primarily web3 founders, devs & operators. Although it had one minor sponsor, it's mainly funded from my pocket.
Soundbites from different episodes:
Stefan George, Co-Founder @ Gnosis on the early days of Safe: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/P3awaUCC62w
Dan Romero, Co-Founder @ Farcaster, explains why when building the protocol, it's important to focus on DAU: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWoFI1jHD6E
Seb Audet, Co-Founder @ Zapper, explains how they choose which features to include in v2: https://youtu.be/Yfr84yd37SM
Pedro Gomes, Co-Founder @ WalletConnect, describes how they design the product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-DwI8-iI3w
We had a longish break in recordings because the listeners asked for an easy way to access all the insights from the podcasts.
So I worked after hours to set up http://goldmine3.xyz/ - a library of stories & lessons from web3 founders.
It even has an AI search where you can ask questions such as "How Zora acquired their first users?" and you'll get an answer based on their real story.
So far, we got support via GR14 & GR18. If you feel like educating web3 builders about best practices for running crypto projects is important, consider donating to Web3 Talks.
