Web3 platform promoting use of technology for social good, through a weekly newsletter, original content, and community events, aiming for cross-industry educational opportunities.

Web3ForGood is a media community that highlights all the ways Web3 technology could be used to make the world a better place. For over a year, we have consistently published a weekly update about all things happening at the intersection of Web3 and social impact. Our audience uniquely consists of a blend of social impact and nonprofit professionals, investors, and Web3 builders -- meaning, we uniquely reach a broad, curious audience.

Why Web3ForGood?

Keeping track of what’s new in the Web3 x Social Impact space is challenging; new projects launch every day and news from last week feels ancient. Plus, for nonprofit and social impact professionals who are new to the space and want to learn more, all the acronyms can be overwhelming and daunting. That is why we (Abeera and Sam) - two friends working in the tech for good world - decided to start publishing the weekly newsletter: “This Week in Web3ForGood: for nonprofit and social impact professionals, investors, and Web3 builders.

This last year of building has served as a proof-of-concept for us. To date, our growth has been entirely organic. Now, we aim to reach even more people across industries by growing Web3ForGood as a media community that continues to highlight the ways Web3 technology broadly could be used to make the world a better place. Web3ForGood as a media community aims to connect impact professionals and tech builders, while creating cross-industry educational opportunities and highlighting stories at the intersection of technology and social impact. Through content, connections, and events, we will inspire and spark innovation.

What We’ve Accomplished

With the 57 editions and counting, we have now been publishing Web3ForGood for over a year as a public good. Each edition of the newsletter includes the latest news, links to thought pieces and podcasts, opportunities (jobs, events, funding, etc.), and projects that are on our radar. Some weeks include a deep dive into specific topics or conversations with builders. At this point, we have:

  • Published 57 consistent weekly editions of Web3forGood
  • Written 28 pieces of original content
  • Shared 8 conversations with builders and thought leaders
  • Connected with hundreds of people all around the world who are passionate about using this emerging Web3 tech for good
  • Presented at the Sustainable Blockchain Summit about the importance of communication and storytelling in Web3.
  • Received a grant from The Climate Collective to help us expand our reach.
  • And, have a great 60% average open rate, and subscribers growing each week
