Proposal Summary web3iam is a B2B Cybersecurity company that onboards companies to their ENS + other blockchain identities. These include .eth, .arb, .crypto, .sol, .avax, .algo, & .bnb. We help companies fight against brand impersonation on the blockchain across multiple blockchain protocols & naming services.
We seek grant funding from the ENS Community to continue to onboard companies to their exact match ENS names. This involves building out the full-stack of web3iam to give companies the ability to register their names via ENS API on web3iam.com, submit KYB (Know-Your-Business) documentation to “Authenticate” (gold checkmark), and be onboarded to their names with 1:1 white glove service.
We are looking at these Digital Identities akin to SaaS licenses that Enterprise-level companies utilize for their cybersecurity needs. This allows for a B2B Enterprise relationship with clients, providing business verification, maintenance (expiration reminders), & public alerts to deter brand impersonators & cybersquatters. This may also involve web3iam acting in a Managed Service Provider capacity for clients, maintaining ownership of their domains & handling record update requests.
Objective Our objective is to become the go-to resource to discover or confirm who a company is on the blockchain. This includes developing an API that wallet providers can integrate to check the verification status(es) of an ENS pre-transaction; type in Walmart.eth and the API would confirm it’s not the actual Walmart. We want to reduce cybersquatting on company names, and onboard companies to their names so they can bring their communities onto the blockchain.
The Problem & Our Solution Problem: There are approximately 1.9 million ENS names currently registered, and we know that some companies own their names, but how can we prove it? Look at Walmart.eth for example. Do they own it? How can you prove or disprove it? Has Walmart posted on their social media channels about acquiring it, and if so, how can you prove the validity of their post(s)? If they’ve ever provided any proof, where is it stored? Are there any related TX hashes?
Our solution would allow companies to register their domain names (Identify), submit KYB documentation including an e-signature to Authenticate their Digital Identities (Authenticate), and utilize website change detection & block explorer APIs to monitor Authenticated domain names’ metadata for any updates or changes (Monitor). web3iam can also act in a Managed Service Provider capacity to hold company domain names, and handle record update requests.
Accomplishments & Strategic Assets web3iam has onboarded several companies & artists to their names across multiple blockchain naming services, has hand audited over 10,000 blockchain domains in the last 24 months, provides digital identity audits to companies, and attends local Boston Blockchain events.
For assets, web3iam has hundreds of exact match company name ENS, with the good faith intent of onboarding those companies to their names. These include companies such as Merkle Science, Veracode, Improve ID, SwissBit, 1Kosmos, Trusona, IBM Security, Axiad, FIDO Alliance, True Ventures, Turbin3, Beyond Identity, Swiftbridge, Minera, Sunrise Banks, Liquid Mercury, BankWyse, and many more. web3iam also has hundreds of other company names across different naming services, which would allow for ENS to be broached in conversation even if the initial conversation started with another Blockchain Naming Service.
Grant Proposal With the support of the ENS community, web3iam intends to onboard companies to their .eth names, build out an ability for companies to register ENS and submit documentation to authenticate ownership, and to sponsor local Boston Blockchain events & attend to onboard companies to their ENS during these events. web3iam attended ETH Boston, Solana Boston, several local Boston Blockchain Association & The Boston DAO events, and was the sole promoter of ENS during these events. Prior to each event, web3iam also audited (via Etherscan) the availability of the ENS for each company; I want to automate and scale this. It would be great to have the support of the community while attending these events and to have a stand-up banner + funds to onboard companies during & post-event.
Engage with VC/PE - Protect their Assets Venture Capital and Private Equity invest in many companies, and the cybersecurity of those companies is of their concern. If any of these companies experience brand impersonation, phishing, or identity fraud, it affects their investment(s).
Create Partnerships - Partner with wallet providers such as MetaMask, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, PeraAlgo Wallet, & more to help all users know exactly who they are transacting with. If Company.eth instructs you to utilize their .eth, you should have a way to confirm it’s truly them; an API from web3iam.
Education – Create educational opportunities for the ENS Team and Community to onboard the customers of companies to their individual ENS or even potentially subdomains from a company. If CompanyA assumes their .eth, let’s educate them on the benefits to customers, create programs for their customers to register an ENS, and continue to grow the overall ecosystem of ENS users worldwide.

His experience as an Enterprise Account Manager plays a key role in a customer-first approach to onboarding companies to the blockchain, leading with education.
Conclusion web3iam will become the trusted source for identifying who a company is on blockchain. Through grants/donations, partnerships, and a shared interest in protecting people online, we strongly believe we can create a world where digital trust exists.
By creating a trusted process for companies to verify their identities on the blockchain, web3iam will usher in the new digital age, bringing transparency and trust with it.
The ability to more deeply engage with the ENS community will allow web3iam to help protect the *digital identities of its’ members, making an immediate impact. Many companies are ready to assume their ENS and join us on the blockchain, and web3iam is the arm reaching out to bring them in.
