Web4 is a revolutionary framework for implementing provable democracy and attention-based economics in digital systems, developed by Douglas Butner. The project aims to create an ecosystem where attention is fairly distributed, measured, and rewarded through democratic collaboration.

Why Web4 Matters

Our current financial system is built on debt, where money supply can never match total debt due to compound interest. This creates an unsustainable race against time. Meanwhile, Web3 systems have replicated these same plutocratic patterns, leading to centralized control of both wealth and attention.
