Community-driven project offering free crypto and Web3 security education to enhance online safety and proactive awareness through classes, partnerships, and multilingual resources.

TLDR; Boring Security is a public good service that aims to provide FREE education on crypto and Web3 security. We are dedicated to offering accessible and engaging educational resources to help individuals protect themselves and their communities from cyber threats.

πŸ”’πŸ€” WHAT IS BORING SECURITY?

πŸ‘₯ Boring Security is a community-driven project that seeks to make security education more accessible for everyone. Our team consists of experienced security professionals and educators who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with others. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn about crypto and Web3 security, regardless of their background or level of expertise.

πŸ”’πŸ’‘ HOW DOES BORING SECURITY WORK?

πŸ—“οΈ Month on month, we partner with Web3 communities to host Partner Classes for free so that we enable different projects to create a proactive approach towards security. We empower communities to be safer together to become stronger together.

πŸŽ“ We have a roster of Web3 security experts within the team who generously share their time and knowledge to teach classes every month. Students must pass a quiz to attain their Alumni status and Proof of Knowledge NFT - when students don’t pass, we conduct personal 1-on-1 sessions between the instructor and the student to ensure they properly understand their mistakes and the lessons behind it.

🧠 Our 102 was launched in September 2022 for those who aim to further level-up their security knowledge with focus on reading and interacting with etherscan, understanding rug pull red flags, and learning more advanced ways to stay safe such as utilizing Wallet Delegation. Just last March, we had announced the 103 badge: earned not through taking a class, but through attending and engaging in security workshops and activities hosted by Boring Security and our partners.

πŸ‘« We have Community Partners such as Mutant Cartel, Applied Primate Engineering, Pocket Universe, Revoke.Cash, Stelo Labs, SafeSoul, Bankless DAO, DegenToonz, Doge Pound, q00tants, Boss Beauties, and many more, garnering almost 1,500 Alumni of our 101 Course, and over 410 Alumni of our 102 Course.

πŸŽ“ In addition to teaching live classes and providing an array of security articles on our website, we have partnered with Ledger for the Apecoin Ledger Quest launched just this April 2023. In the longer term, we are partnered with Ledger to provide security articles and host community activations to build a stronger and safer Web3 community.

πŸ”’πŸ’° WHERE WILL THE FUNDS GO?

πŸ’‘πŸš€ With your support, we can sustain operations and achieve the following milestones:

➑️Educate more people and partner communities about Web3 security. We want our Alumni base to at least double in size in the next 12 months. ➑️Provide our resources in multiple languages to create a wider multilingual community. We are targeting to be available in seven (7) additional languages. And; ➑️Build a comprehensive 103 Module that will deepen learnings and strengthen safety as a value of the ever-evolving Web3 space.
