A grassroots community running free monthly events in London, connecting DeSci builders, investors, and academics to brainstorm, collaborate, and provide insights and funding opportunities.

DeSci London is a friendly grassroots community that runs monthly IRL events 😎.

We're here to welcome newcomers to DeSci as well as provide a space where DeSci builders, investors, academics and the DeSci curious can connect, brainstorm, and collaborate 🀝.

We've already thrown almost 30 events over the last two years πŸ₯³. We're proud to host free monthly meetups and we've organised a two conferences, completely free at The Crick in 2023 and at Imperial College London on 2024, with over 300+ attendees. Everything we offer is free πŸ™‚

Why are we building DeSci London? Our goal is to establish a hub where DeSci builders can cross-pollinate ideas, gain insights from researchers, and score funding from investors. We are a catalyst for the entire DeSci community 🌱.

Who are we building it for? The whole ecosystem! We are committed to making all events free to attend and putting representation and diversity at the heart of what we do (as shown by the 16 travel grants we offered and nearly 50% of our conference speakers being women). We're all about including people from different backgrounds, fields, and experience levels to create an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative environment for all ✌️.

What would this grant money go towards? We want to focus on hosting more in-person events so that even more folks can benefit. Our ultimate goal is to create a global, de-siloed network of academic researchers and help future founders get their ideas off the ground πŸš€.

Thank you for your consideration! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in contact with us on our telegram πŸ—£οΈ.
