Dex Wave Initiative promotes digital inclusion in East Africa by providing computer access, teaching digital skills, improving education, job access, health, and community strength through technology.

Dex Wave Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting digital inclusion in low-income regions, especially in East Africa.

Our team is composed of passionate professionals from diverse backgrounds, including educators, technologists, community organizers, and development experts. Together, we work towards a common goal of creating lasting positive change through technology.

  1. Access to Computers and Internet: We provided computers and internet access to communities that previously lacked access. This allowed people to connect with others online, learn new things, and find information easily.

  2. Learning Digital Skills: We taught people how to use computers and navigate the internet effectively. This helped them write documents, use email, and even learn advanced skills like coding or using online tools for work.

  3. Better Education Opportunities: With our help, individuals accessed online classes and educational resources they didn't have access to before. This supported students with their studies and helped adults learn new skills for better job opportunities.

  4. Finding Jobs and Making Money: By learning digital skills through our programs, people found jobs that required computer knowledge. This enabled them to earn more money and improve their quality of life. Some even started their own businesses.

  5. Connecting with Others: Our initiatives enabled people to stay in touch with friends and family online. They also joined online communities where they could share ideas, get support, and build relationships.

  6. Improving Health and Safety: Through digital literacy, individuals found health information online and connected with healthcare services when needed. This also helped communities stay informed and prepared for emergencies.

  7. Building Stronger Communities: With more people in the community having digital skills, the entire community became stronger. They adapted to changes faster, supported each other, and contributed to local development more effectively.

We recently used Unlock protocol to issue out Certificates inform of NFTs to the Digital skills bootcamp students who managed to commit 3 months to learn and practice different uses of technology especially blockchain and artificial intelligence.
