Mission and Vision

Starting with the declaration on 2022.02.28, DHK dao aims to build consensus among 7 million people by educating the public on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralization.

Operating as a validator across various blockchains and governed by its users, DHK adopts a lazy consensus approach, assuming community support unless stated otherwise. Governance follows a "1 DHK 1 vote" principle, addressing issues digitally to support its vision, mission, and operations.

The culture emphasizes paying it forward by onboarding new users to cryptocurrency and giving them 1 DHK token. The code of conduct stresses responsibility, requiring those with more DHK to convert new users and distribute all but 1 DHK. The ultimate goal is to have 7 million DHK in the hands of 7 million users.

[Substantially Enhancing Governance Transparency]

The DHK dao core contributor team has formed a workgroup, holding monthly meetings to discuss the development of DHK dao. All community members are welcome to join and discuss or inquire about the decision-making process of the dao. A Community Idea and Project Platform has been built on Notion for the team to share work documents and meeting minutes with the public.

The "DHK dao Web3 Civic Education" bilingual newsletter https://paragraph.xyz/@dhk, boasting over 22K subscribers, was successfully migrated from Substack to paragraph.xyz. ****This move introduces crypto wallet subscription and Writing NFT collection deepening the engagement and education for non-crypto native into the Web3 world.

[Token Migration Completed and Fully Operational]

The DHK token has successfully transitioned its technical stack from the Cosmos Juno Network to EVM Optimism. Both the infrastructure for building on the OP stack and migration utilities have been completed and are fully operational. Automation of technical scripts has also been incorporated to enhance effectiveness.

[Podcast Expansion]

The GM FM – 幣圈早晨 podcast, aimed at helping non-experts dive into cryptocurrency and Web3, has reached its 6th episode. It is being distributed across various platforms, including RSS, Spotify, Apple Podcast and YouTube.

[漂流教室 Physical Meetups]

Inspired by the Japanese manga "The Drifting Classroom" by Kazuo Umezu, the #漂流教室 pop-up mobile classroom has been conducted at various locations in Hong Kong, Taipei, Malaysia and Canada. These sessions provide hands-on tutorials, from registering a crypto wallet and obtaining a DHK token to explaining basic blockchain concepts. Things DHK dao Has Done to Promote ENS

[Promoted ENS Registration in Newsletter]

[Use ENS Domain on Multisig Wallet for Better Transparency] The multisig wallet (0x81c5C4047F84C3842F9B7Ac841C96504517C7d8F) has been assigned the ENS domain dhkdao.eth. This makes it easy for the public to check the ledger, promoting greater transparency.

Things DHK dao Is Working On to Promote ENS

[Every daoYau Got an ENS Domain] "daoYau", the pronunciation of 道友, refers to members of the DHK dao. The plan is to assign each daoYau an ENS subdomain of dhkid.eth for free. This allows them to benefit from ENS advantages, such as easy access to wallet addresses and enhanced security.

1. Simplified Address Management:
   • ENS turns complex Ethereum addresses into human-readable names, making it easier for members to interact with the DAO.
2. Cross-Chain Compatibility:
   • ENS supports multiple blockchains, allowing DHK dao members to use their ENS domain across wallets, websites, and decentralized apps (dApps) beyond Ethereum.
3. Web3 Identity:
   • ENS provides decentralized identities through subdomains under dhkid.eth. All DHK dao members can receive their own subdomain, helping to establish and reinforce their identity within the DAO.

Action Plan: Assigning ENS Subdomains to DAO Members

• Free ENS Subdomains for DAO Members:
  • DHK dao will assign each member (referred to as a "DAOer") a personalized ENS subdomain (e.g., dhkid.eth) for free. This initiative will:
    • Boost Engagement: Personal subdomains give members a stronger identity within the DAO and foster a deeper connection to the community.
    • Simplify Interactions: Members can use their subdomains for governance, payments, and other DAO activities, promoting ease of use.
    • Encourage Web3 Adoption: By offering ENS subdomains, DHK DAO promotes web3 adoption among its members through our Podcast, weekly blog and IRL meeting.
