Ethereum Japan

Ethereum Japan is a non-profit organization that promotes and delivers information on Ethereum and other blockchain technologies. We work with communities not only in Japan but also abroad, and our activities include X(Twitter), regular events, and research. In the past, we have hosted events with core developers from the Ethereum Foundation.

In 2024, we are hosting ETHTokyo in August for the global Ethereum community where people with all sorts of backgrounds, ideas, and skills come together to share their love for Ethereum and its world.

Objective:

We aim to promote the adoption of the Ethereum platform in Japan and create new value by blending Japan's unique culture and technological prowess. We support Japanese creators and developers in generating unique solutions that resonate globally through Ethereum. In a country where tradition and innovation coexist, we seek to pave new possibilities as part of the Ethereum community and create projects that influence the world from Japan. Through your collaboration, let’s nurture Japan-specific innovations and build the future of Ethereum together.

Mainly focused on learning about the Ethereum platform and its technologies, and activities to promote Ethereum.

January 12, 2023: "Intmax Unveiled by the Founders" An event where two founders of Intmax discuss their zk-Rollup Layer 2 project.

February 22, 2023: "Everything About the Next Billion Ethereum Project" A Short Talk by Aya Miyaguchi, Executive Director of Ethereum Foundation's Next Billion team.

March 14, 2023: "Ethereum Study Session: MEV Edition"

March 30, 2023: "Lessons from the Euler Finance Hacking Incident: Flash Loan Attacks"

April 8, 2023: "ETHGlobal Tokyo Builders Session" An event for hackers participating in ETHGlobal Tokyo.

April 17, 2023: "ETH Tokyo Meetup on Infinite Garden" A meetup event to deeply explore the Ethereum ecosystem in conjunction with ETHGlobal Tokyo.

August 23, 2024: "ETHTokyo 2024" (Planned) The first hackathon organized under the newly established general incorporated association, Ethereum Japan.
