Initiative to train 10 million Gig Workers in sustainability practices by 2030, offering incentives through cooperatives for rideshare drivers to transition to renewable energy and electric vehicles.

Introduction

♻️ #GigsGoGreen - a movement for Gig Workers (initially Uber / Lyft / rideshare app drivers)

Mission

To onboard 10 million Gig Workers by 2030; teaching and embracing sustainability while rewarding them with increasing ownership through synergistic cooperatives.

#TL;DR

Why niche into rideshare app drivers?

  1. Gig Workers use a much higher amount of energy, normally fossil fuels, to support our local communities.
  2. Gig Workers normally do not use renewable energy sources to perform their work functions.
  3. Uber / Lyft are building their future autonomous EV fleets on the backs of Gig Workers.

♻️ #GigsGoGreen DAO Ecosystem (Three Synergistic Cooperatives)

Core Team

Majority of our core team has worked together since Jun-2021 and launched REtokenDAO (Real Estate Token | X.com <Twitter> / Snapshot) as a Wyoming DAO LLC in Jul-2021 when that DAO LLC regulation went into effect. They will be rebooting REtokenDAO into pTokenDAO (Property Token) seeing the increased opportunity for tokenizing RWAs (Real-World Assets) beyond real estate.

Team Experience

yonks.eth|🚕⚡🏡|Jason Younker has been a Gig Worker since Jun-2016 and has provided 12,000+ trips on Uber and Lyft. He has been an Airbnb SuperHost in 4 cities (home sharing / “house hacking” strategy). Seeing the opportunity to improve the economics for providing rideshare services (vehicle overhead + increased profitability with 7-passenger luxury SUVs) has resulted in his passion to create a better model.

YonksTEAM (Jason + Tyler Younker) have worked on a cooperatively owned vehicle business model since 2017. Their experience owning a micro-fleet of 15 vehicles in 2018-2020, which they rented to Gig Workers, amplified their passions to create a better model. They saw first hand how renting each vehicle to a single driver resulted in a poverty trap for these drivers. The primary reason that most Gig Workers rent vehicles is because they can’t qualify for financing through traditional lenders.

YonksTEAM's commitment to an EV cooperative resulted in acquiring the web domain EV.coop (coop = TLD for cooperative businesses) on 28May2019 which they have owned since. They went through the process of creating a regulation crowdfunding offering for EVwinCO beginning in May-2019 and their Form C was filed with the SEC on 09Jun2020 (link: SEC.gov | EDGAR | CIK: 0001812389). 2020 was unfortunately the worst time in the history of mobility to bring a crowdfunding offering to market seeking to raise money for electric vehicle acquisition in a cooperatively owned model.

Amy Marcella has experience in the field of sustainability. Currently with Sundial Solar Developers as a Global Market Strategist locally working with disadvantaged neighborhoods in the Mississippi Delta Region covering a Tri-State corridor of Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas. She also has an extensive volunteer history with St Vincent de Paul of Memphis, a lay Catholic Organization that serves the disadvantaged and homeless population of Memphis through 10 parish conferences assisting with food, rent, utility bills, soup kitchen and food pantry in the capacity of Director of Business Development and Fundraising Campaigns. She will bring these experiences to better serve the mission and vision of #GigsGoGreen.

Nik Cimino is the Founder and CEO of eContriver LLC, an up-and-coming company specializing in software solutions and engineering consulting. He is focused on innovation in blockchains, AI solutions, game development and an AI-as-a-Service platform that democratizes AI usage much like Firebase does for databases. Additionally, he has been serving as the CTO at PyxelChain Technologies Corp. where he oversees the development of Pyxis (a Multisignature Wallet), and designs and creates the WebX Security Bridge (a platform that secures Web2 services with Web3 technology). He has successfully deployed an EVM-based blockchain testnet named PyxelChain and created Contract Registry, a comprehensive Smart Contract development ecosystem (including CLIs, APIs, back-ends, front-ends, etc.) and is proud to be at the forefront of a series of Smart Contracts to solve various business needs. Notably, his work on the billion pyxel project and a Ricardian proofing system on blockchain (for legal document verification and signing) has positioned him as an industry leader.

Roadmap

A high-level version of our Roadmap (Notion) can also be found at: https://Roadmap.GigsGoGreen.org

Go-To-Market Strategy Overview

We are architecting our ♻️ #GigsGoGreen business model that can be replicated on a state-by-state basis initially focusing on the USA.

There are several reasons for this:

  1. Energy regulations are governed on a state-by-state basis through each state’s PUC (Public Utility Commission).
  2. This state-by-state model allows for people to invest within the ♻️ #GigsGoGreen entities for their respective state and see that capital deployed within that state.
  3. Allows for a more sustainable and scalable growth model.

Colorado is the first state we are launching our ♻️ #GigsGoGreen model within.

[Step 0] Establish Community Trust: Build in Public with Radical Transparency

We use transparent online and in person working groups live streamed and available for replay.

This radical transparency methodology inherently establishes trust.

Additionally, we are providing valuable education to assist our members with strategies to make more money while driving as we’re moving them into electric cars.

[Step 1] Establish Organizational Governance

We are intentional about best practices with a find, implement, and refine ethos surrounding best practices. Bylaws are the legal “operating manual” for cooperative organizations.

Target windows for 1h Working Groups for this Bylaws Series:

  • Working Group #1: 4/4/2024
  • Working Group #2: Jun-2024
  • Working Group #3: Oct-2024
  • Working Group #4: Feb-2024
  • Working Group #5: May-2024

We believe that the best legal entity / framework within Colorado that aligns with our vision of primarily benefiting Gig Workers is the Limited Cooperative Association operating as a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC LCA). This is the same entity type that ETHDenver (SporkDAO) is organized using.

The core team is committed to providing extensive, ongoing education to assist members understanding their rights and responsibilities and foster a strong and meaningful community.

[Step 2] Methods for the Cooperative Ownership of Various Types of Property Using Blockchain Property Tokens (pToken)

We need a cooperative ownership model for #TeslaBlack that will accomplish several goals:

  1. Auto insurance. We have on our roadmap to become a mutual insurance company. This will take time. Until that occurs we must create a model that insurance companies can underwrite.
  2. Financing at scale (#DeFi + #ReFi). One of the problems that we will solve are auto loans with no defaults through our 3win Protocol (see: Snapshot Proposal on 3win.eth [3winDAO | Triple Win Foundation]).
  3. Measuring Impact. Create a Hypercert for this cooperative ownership model.
  4. Proof of Contribution. We will develop a SmartContract template using soulbound tokens on Celo. In our cooperative ownership model we are targeting $200/wk USDC for their cooperative contribution (vehicle lease for ½ of a week). They will in return receive 200 soulbound contribution tokens. This will be used to calculate their share over time when a vehicle exit occurs (likely to be at 5yr or 300,000mi, whichever occurs first).

Here is an image showing this cooperative ownership model for #TeslaBlack.

[Step 3] Demonstrate Traction with Crowdfunding on Kickstarter.com

We believe that our #1 priority at this time is to demonstrate traction. We must clearly answer this question:

“Are Gig Workers (existing Uber / Lyft drivers) interested in participating within this business model through these synergistic cooperatives?”

Planned Kickstarter campaign window:

  • Start: 4/22/2024
  • End: 5/28/2024

Yonks’s personal goal with our 1st Kickstarter campaign is to onboard 100 #TeslaBlack DAO Members ($97/yr). He is planning to do this through social media PPC (Pay-Per Click) advertising campaigns to enroll interested Gig Workers into informational webinars that YonksTEAM will be creating and hosting beginning on 4/22 with the launch of our Kickstarter campaign. The webinar format will provide the opportunity to create a 20 minute pitch extolling the value proposition of these synergistic cooperatives followed by a 10min Q&A window.

[Step 4] Create Community Ownership with Regulation Crowdfunding on ChainRaise.io

Our goal is to create community owned and operated infrastructure. We believe the best way to fulfill our community owned vision is through Regulation Crowdfunding. We have selected ChainRaise.io, a FINRA registered Broker/Dealer as a Crowdfunding Platform, to launch our Regulation Crowdfunding offerings for the (3) Colorado PBCs (Public Benefit Cooperatives).

Planned Regulation Crowdfunding offering window:

  • Start: #EarthDay2024 (4/22/2024)
  • End: 4/21/2025

Ideal investor Goal = 5,000 Gig Workers who invest $1,000/ea. When we achieve this goal our #TeslaBlack Colorado PBC Regulation Crowdfunding offering will be a “sold out” offering of $5 million ($5M = max can raise for each entity via Regulation Crowdfunding).

We do not anticipate that Gig Workers will normally have $1,000 to invest in our offering. We are assisting with a solution with this through another crowdfunding strategy using GoFundMe.com (see “Step 5” below).

[Step 4.1] Token Engineering

Each Colorado PBC will have a separate Security Token. The SmartContracts representing equitable ownership will not go into effect until after the Regulation Crowdfunding offering is completed and the Bylaws are updated to reflect this. We are planning to have 10M tokens for each PBC, 50% will be made available through the Regulation Crowdfunding offering.

We are going to engage with industry tokenomics experts, such as TEC (Token Engineering Commons) to ensure that we develop a tokenomics model that can be replicated when we proceed with our multi-state expansion plans (see “Step 7”). One of the considerations that we will specifically seek guidance surrounding is determining a fair token vesting schedule for the core team that is responsible for launching a state. The token vesting proposal will be put forward to be voted upon by our PBC multi-stakeholders (DAO / co-op members & investors).

[Step 5] Expand ♻️ #GigsGoGreen Movement with GoFundMe.com

Yonks, as the ♻️ #GigsGoGreen movement founder, believes that the GigsGoGreen narrative is compelling enough as a solution for Climate Change that his passengers, instead of tipping $5 may GoFundMe $20 (or more). He has created his campaign and has begun to prove his theory that passengers are willing to GoFundMe instead of tipping (whether they also provided a tip is unclear).

Screenshot of yonks.eth|🚕⚡🏡|Jason Younker GoFundMe.com campaign (currently live at ⇒ https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-yonks-gigsgogreen-in-northglenn-co)

Yonks has hung signage “instead of a tip, please GoFundMe” within WeOwn4 (the 7-passenger 2021 Tesla Model Y that YonksTEAM has owned since May-2021) to inform his passengers of the GoFundMe. He has also created a foldable business card which serves dual purposes as a “thank you card”. He will be asking his passengers at the conclusion of their ride “May I give you a Thank You card?”. This foldable business card has a QR code which lands on his GoFundMe page.

We will build educational and training materials accessible to #TeslaBlack DAO Members so that they may also create their own GoFundMe page. This will functionally provide an additional revenue stream for our community members and expand their Gig Working capabilities to include skills relevant for content creators and affiliate marketers.

[Step 6] Expand Gig Workers scope to include House Hacking DAO on Kickstarter.com

House Hackers are the individual(s) that will be the initial stewards within our single-family cooperative housing model.

Kickstarter Phase 2: Launching House Hacking DAO

  • House Hacking = a solution for affordable housing
  • Similar reward items as what was done for our “Phase 1: Launching #TeslaBlack DAO”

[Step 7] ♻️ #GigsGoGreen Multi-state Expansion

States currently on top of our expansion list include:

  1. New York
    • Drivers.coop (platform cooperative alternative option to Uber / Lyft) has onboarding 10,000+ drivers in New York
    • Favorable community solar regulations
  2. Minnesota
    • Xcel Energy market (same investor owned utility which serves Denver / Boulder metro)
    • Largely regarded as best community solar regulations
  3. Illinois
    • Favorable community solar regulations

Concluding Remarks

♻️ #GigsGoGreen - a movement for Gig Workers. We believe that this is a compelling solution to climate change which we are structuring as Alternative Ownership Enterprises for the primary benefit of Gig Workers. When telling people about this movement, most people can see this movement working and providing meaningful benefits to our local communities especially by upgrading existing parking lots with solar canopies, battery storage, and DC-Fast EV charging.
