About

Every human on Earth deserves frictionless access to crypto and the benefits coming from using it: cheap and instant transactions, improved security & privacy, and investment opportunities.

IDriss is on a mission to help provide that by building a suite of tools making web3 more usable for everyone. Read more in our public mission statement.

We are strong supporters and defenders of community ownership, open source software development, and access to crypto for all. Let's build a more usable web3 together 🤝

Current Tools

IDriss Book is a decentralized web3 address book where users can link their Twitter names, emails, and phone numbers to public wallet addresses for easier and safer interactions.

By installing the browser extension, users connect their browser to the address book, which enhances the usability of popular websites, such as major crypto exchanges and blockchain explorers.

Enhanced usability of blockchain explorers

The browser extension also gives superpowers to Twitter. Users can easily send crypto to Twitter profiles registered in the address book, serving use cases such as social tipping, rewarding content creators, distributing community rewards, and fundraising.

Contribution to Public Goods Funding

During the last Gitcoin GG18 round, we've successfully onboarded grantees to receive donations via the Twitter extension. A total of 377 unique donors made impressive 1,186 donations to 155 grantees. Check out this Twitter love board and Dune dashboard with stats.

Meta-Infinite Round

Following the successful Gitcoin pilot, we expanded the initiative by consolidating all the major PGF mechanisms (Gitcoin, Giveth, RetroPGF, CLR.fund, DAO Drops) and enabling perpetual donations to 700+ grantees.

Roadmap

Donations to this grant will help fund further development of the IDriss Book, the browser extension, and future tools.

The roadmap includes deployment on more networks, adding new asset distribution methods, such as sending crypto & NFTs to participants of Twitter Spaces, as well as releasing a tool for online creators on Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms to seamlessly receive tips in crypto.

All the plans reflect our commitment to making web3 more usable for everyone 🤝
