Mosaic Project Description

Introduction

Mosaic is an organization dedicated to creating immersive social and ecological landscapes. We foster the exchange, integration, and application of innovative and time-tested practices for inner and outer regeneration. Our work blends education & life emergence, art & science, inner work & conscious relating, decentralized governance & fluid leadership, and land stewardship & co-living, aiming to integrate these diverse elements into a comprehensive lifestyle and socio-ecological biotope.

We believe in a holistic approach to regeneration, addressing individual, interpersonal, ecological, and organizational levels. Our vision is to manifest a vibrant, sustainable community where individuals can thrive in harmony with themselves, each other, and the environment.

Our Mission & Values

What are we in service to?

We focus on four key areas of regeneration:

  • Inner Regeneration:
How can we cultivate inner regeneration by becoming more self-aware, resilient, and present?
We empower individuals to embrace presence and vulnerability, overcome fear, and enhance personal growth through adaptable tools and supportive systems.

  • Land Regeneration:
What can we do to restore ecosystems and promote ecological balance?
We are committed to sustainable land use practices, harmonizing human actions with natural cycles, and fostering a regenerative relationship with the environment.

  • Interpersonal Regeneration:
What steps can we take to revitalize human connections and foster authentic relationships?
We work to address systemic issues and personal biases, promoting empathy, trust, and mutual understanding beyond outdated cultural patterns and patriarchal structures.

  • Organizational Regeneration:
How can we ensure that social and economic systems serve the collective good?
We critically evaluate strategies and impacts, advocate for responsible innovation, and promote equitable practices aligned with social justice, trauma-informed environments, and environmental/economic sustainability.

Current Progress and Manifestation

Our organization operates both digitally and on two beautiful properties in southern Portugal, 25 minutes from the ocean. These properties are nestled in a valley with the potential to become a thriving village. Our current capacity is 10-15 residents and 20-150 participants for events and educational programs. Over the past decade, we have focused on regenerating a portion of the land and establishing a sustainable water system.

We are actively exploring options to secure our land within a trust and expand our vision to encompass three adjacent properties currently available for purchase. We invite impact investors to join us in realizing this dream and welcome co-creators to join our dedicated team.
