Implementing nature-based infiltration systems to rehydrate landscapes across the High Plains Aquifer, including public projects like West Amarillo Creek rehydration and developing eco-credits for wetland conservation.

Our Mission is to learn, teach & help develop novel tools to empower communities across the High Plains Aquifer System to rehydrate the landscape that sustains them. We advocate for distributed, diverse, nature-based infiltration earthworks and other water-harvesting interventions. Our first project began in February of 2023; we build over 110 NIDS structures (Natural Infrastructure on Dryland Streams) on stretches of 5 different ephemeral watersheds with significant hydrogeologic features. This year, we'll follow up, maintain & monitor such work - append in places.

But our primary next focus is a project that's more visible, publicly accessible & engaging to communities. We are in planning & preparation process for a multi-year rehydration project along West Amarillo Creek at Wildcat Bluff Nature Center. The project is with our regional Science & Technology Center which has a mandate to educate. We hope to “break ground” this January 2024.

Our treasury is sufficient to get a good start on this project, but more funds are needed to grow and to devote resources to the technological and decentralized socioeconomic work. Our funds this GR19 would be devoted to such purpose and, specifically, used to support Regen's Landscape Rehydration Working Group and to flesh out the Playa Wetlands (Permissionless) EcoCredit Class Concept.

Your support is appreciated. The high plains aquifer is of global significance, but of greater significance to those of us that live on it. Web3 brings novel reasons for hope and we seek your support to build that out. LFG.
