Is a tool for communities to gather verified signatures for their open letters, manifestos and petitions. Where humans can sign publicly, privately or anonymously. Decentralised, transparent and open.
To really stand up to change, voices need to be free. To be free you need to have the option of maintaining your privacy. Gathered voices needs to be provable, verifiable, and immutable. And lobbying should be a power of the many, not just the elite with access.
Why
Web2 Petition platforms are already heavily used for example change.org has 500 million active users. Yet there is not a decentralised alternative for these web2 platforms which are funded by the usual suspects and under centralised control. For people to stand up against existing institutions they need to be able to do so privately or anonymously. As well as to make a public statement for change.
Also there are a lot of amazing manifestos out there, that when adding the possibility to sign will strengthen the communities that shape around these values even more, and gives the manifestors a possibility to include or eventually reward all supporters.
How
With pact.social we not only secure that signers data are decentralised and privately stored, and gives you the opportunity to sign in 3 different modes:
-
Public - Your signature document is public
-
Private - You trust pact.social to hide your identity while verifying your signature
-
Anon. - You generate a new random wallet that will only be used once (burner wallet)
pact.social also brings the lobby aspect of petitions to the many instead of the few, and to the light instead of the dark. Please check out pact.social landing page for more information.
