Law that was designed to act as a deterrent, someone in fact decided to end their life. They had motive, intention, means. Those put this law to vote should be prosecuted.

There are multiple cases when people take criminal governments to court, typically around climate policies.

In theory, courts are independent of politics. Can use the law to prosecute those in power.
