Organize a crowdsourcing competition among artists to design a flag and anthem for systemic change, inspired by the concept of backcasting and rooted in psychedelic experiences.

Background:

We live in critical times in the history of humanity, with multiple crises compounding each other. Polycrisis, metacrisis, everything crisis and yet we remain hopeful, there is always hope.

Backcasting

Let's design the future we want to live, reverse engineer from the future. (R)evolutionary change is required and that in turn will require powerful symbols:

  • Flag
  • Emblem
  • Logo
  • Anthem

We work towards (r)evolution. Our clearly stated objective is system change. We are here to change the world.

Purpose of this grant

To organise a crowdsourcing competition among the artists. Everyone can be an artist, the definition of the "artist" is broad and inclusive.

  • The exact specification to be decided at the later date, upon approval of this grant.
  • We are likely to run at least two different categories: 1 for the flag, 2 for the song (https://suno.com/ is so good BTW)

Relation to psychedelics

The word itself is derived from the Greek words "psyche" (meaning mind) and "delos" (meaning manifest), so it essentially means "mind-manifesting". The origins of the Planetary Council are deeply rooted in psychedelic experiences. We believe that art has potential to break barriers and spread like wildfire.
