Purple Pages is a media project translating web3 into relatable content, focusing on societal impacts and promoting understanding through written materials and podcasts, especially within black and brown cultures.

Introducing Purple Pages: Unveiling the Intersection of Web3, Society, and Culture

Purple Pages is a multifaceted media project with a focus that starts first with written content, then translates into audio podcast content. We seek to translate the complexities of web3 into relatable, everyday language. We begin on this unique exploration first with the written content, weaving through the tapestry of societal norms, and seamlessly translating into compelling audio podcast content. Beyond this, we are a conversation, a bridge that connects the intricate threads of web3 technology with the fabric of everyday life, with a predominant focus on the rich tapestry of black and brown cultures and their lived experiences.

Our approach is grounded yet ambitious. We take familiar concepts that resonate with the average person and reintroduce them through the lens of web3 technology. What emerges is a captivating narrative that delves into the essence of humanity, dissecting how the innovations of web3 fit into the very fabric of our existence, and not the other way around. Currently, our pieces are crafted meticulously in written form, then seamlessly transposed into engaging audio content. As we evolve, our vision expands to encompass longer-form content with archive potential, including conversations with other human beings, allowing for a more nuanced exploration of perspectives beyond just money.

Our Proposed Impact

The impact we aim to create is threefold. Firstly, we wish to address the information fatigue that often accompanies curiosity about web3. By offering real-life translations of web3 concepts through basic philosophical and metaphysical lenses, we provide a digestible entry point for those exploring this innovative space. Our goal is not to overwhelm but to guide, making web3 and crypto more human, and therefore more accessible and relatable.

Secondly, we seek to challenge the existing crypto & web3 communities to reflect on their alignment with the fundamental concepts of society that underpin our shared humanity. Purple Pages aims to be a mirror, encouraging self-examination and prompting a realignment with values that transcend the allure of technology.

Lastly, we invite everyone, regardless of their familiarity with the space, to think beyond the code and the 'bags'—beyond the immediate gains. Through conversations and thought-provoking pieces, we delve into the human side of technology, exploring the stories of its creators, users, and those inadvertently affected by it. Purple Pages seeks to create a space where the essence of humanity takes centre stage, fostering a deeper understanding of the profound impact technology has on our lives.

In many ways, this is a journey of rediscovery, where we challenge perceptions, provoke thought, and foster a community that transcends the digital realm to embrace the richness of our shared human experience. Purple Pages is not just a project; it's an invitation to explore the intersection of web3, society, and culture in a way that is both enlightening and enriching.
