ReFi London aims to make the city a leader in regenerative finance by hosting events, creating a knowledge platform, and supporting local projects to unite leaders for a sustainable future.

Overview

At the crossroads of entrepreneurship, finance, and world-leading institutions lies London— a city teeming with talent, capital, and a history of leading change. Against this backdrop, ReFi London is emerging with a clear purpose: to bring together the city's unparalleled strengths and channel them towards building a sustainable, regenerative future.

With your support, this grant will be the seed from which we build this community. We will offer events & meetups for leaders to converge, develop a comprehensive map of local regenerative projects, and support Regens Unite London. Together, we will make London a leading light in the global regenerative economy movement.

Background

The roots of ReFi London are embedded in the global ambition of ReFi DAO—a vision to cultivate a worldwide regenerative economy through a network of interconnected local communities known as ‘Local Nodes’. ReFi London aspires to be a beacon among these Nodes, rallying high-impact leaders and leveraging London's leadership in finance, entrepreneurship, technology, and academia for positive change.

Key Activities Supported by this Grant:

35% - Support for Regens Unite London: Bolster the efforts of Regens Unite London by providing financial sponsorship and active participation to further our shared missions of uniting the regenerators of London. This will serve as the kickoff for ReFi London with a collaborative workshop to convene stakeholders in co-creating this new organisation.

25 % - ReFi London Knowledge Graph & Website: Fuel the development of the ReFi London Knowledge Graph and the accompanying website. This platform will serve as a comprehensive map of London's regenerative economy ecosystem and local projects. It will empower members with the data, connections, and insights they need to catalyze meaningful change and serve as a key first step for going on to actively support local regenerative initiatives (e.g. community/city farms, local cooperatives, re-wilding initiatives etc..)

40% - ReFi London Summit & Events Fund: Half of the grant will be channelled towards an Events Fund in preparation for the ReFi London Summit and other upcoming events. Recognizing London's unparalleled position as a hub of talent and innovation, these events aim to attract the best of the public, private, and third-sector leaders beyond the immediate bubble of Web3 & ReFi. With your support, we can ensure these events reach their full potential, making them the cornerstone of our community-building efforts, networking opportunities, and knowledge exchange with policymakers and think tanks.

Through the allocation of the grant's funds to these core activities, we are poised to set in motion a transformative wave of initiatives that fortify London's position as a pioneer in regenerative finance and sustainable practices. Every penny will be used judiciously, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed our objectives in making London a leading light in the global regenerative economy movement.
