Supporting the ResearchHub Community to fund contributors, host SciCon 2023 (educational event for Decentralized Science and Web3), and operate community events promoting scientific research collaboration.

This Gitcoin grant is generated by the ResearchHub Foundation, which houses the ResearchHub Community and seeks to assist the community in supporting various contributors, hosting scientific educational events/hackathons and community operations.

SciCon 2023: Our annual event, SciCon, was kickstarted in 2022 with the intention of collating various players in Decentralized Science from traditional academics, to DeSci projects and entrepreneurs/investors. You can find the website for SciCon2022 here to get a sense of the event (https://researchhubcommunity.wixsite.com/scicon2022). SciCon2022 was an educational event to inform traditional academics about Decentralized Science, DAOs, and Web3. We hope to take our learnings from SciCon2022 and have a more wide reaching, polished and successful SciCon2023.

ResearchHub Foundation and ResearchHub Platform: ResearchHub's mission is to accelerate the pace of scientific research. The goal of ResearchHub Inc is to make a modern mobile and web application where people can collaborate on scientific research in a more efficient way, similar to what GitHub has done for software engineering. While the core ResearchHub Inc team is busy building a product, the ResearchHub Community focuses on bringing together motivated individuals who are dedicated to the project’s mission of accelerating the pace of scientific research. We are a group of passionate academics who independently support the development of ResearchHub and DeSci through hosting educational scientific events and seminars, and focusing on development of a robust reputation system for DeSci.
