⁉️ Why?

• Average salary of a Certified Scrum Master in the United States is around $98,000 per year (average in US - 2021)
• While women are underrepresented in SCRUM master roles, they tend to make more than their male counterparts in the US (2021), meaning there is an opportunity for upward mobility (source)
• Having different builders across in the Web3 space is difficult to coordinate, need for Web3 native PMs
• Current PM programs lack knowledge of Web3 specific tools
• Traditional industry wide accepted certifications are not utilized for token gating DAOs
• To renew certification, Scrum Masters need to donate their time to nonprofits
• Their is no Web3 program that gives traditional industry certs on chain
• Lack of Web3 scrum community to connect and support each other

🏃‍♀️ About SCRUM DAO ->

SCRUM DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that was recently formed to train and certify the next generation of SCRUM masters and professionals. The DAO will operate using Agile SCRUM methodology, leading project management tools, and leverage Web3 technology via a project based approach to learning. The long-term goal of the DAO is to place certified SCRUM masters into high paying roles for decentralized organizations

• Train and certify upcoming SCRUM masters and certified SCRUM professionals
• Utilize Agile SCRUM methodology and Daily SCRUMs for conducting DAO operations
• Build a system for placing certified SCRUM masters into work for decentralized organizations
• Build a standard for on chain for ACSM/CSM/PSM/PMP certifications and use as basis for DAO reputation and roles
• Onboard PMs to Web3 based project management tools
• Plan Open Sprints using project based learning approach  by building decentralized technology, document SOPs on chain

💸 Funding -> We are seeking funding to expand our initiative of developing dedicated SCRUM certified instructors, certifying select cohorts, and integrating on-chain credentials for SCRUM certification for DAO admission. Our vision is to establish a talent pipeline, revenue generation for courses, and accredited SCRUM Alliance hours for existing certified Masters within an on-chain SCRUM DAO.

To achieve this goal, we require additional funding to support marketing efforts for recruitment of cohorts, business development for partnerships with recruiters, PM software, and Web3 organizations. This funding will enable us to bootstrap our initiative and create a sustainable business model that benefits the SCRUM community.

With your support, we aim to provide a platform for existing SCRUM professionals to leverage their certification for admission into our DAO, get paid for instructing courses, opportunities for roles, or earn elevated certifications. Our non-profit status allows us to leverage in-kind donations and direct donations to further support our mission.
