Creating a blockchain-based protocol for transparent music ownership and distribution, featuring Wrapped Songs for on-chain tracking of creation and royalty distribution.

Solution | Short Summary

Introduce on-chain ownership in music creation and distribution.

The Open Music Distribution Protocol aims to enhance distribution efficiency and transparency in the music industry by creating correct paths for song creation and distribution. It will establish new incentives and dynamics among artists, music professionals, and fans, adding new layers that go beyond traditional ownership of music royalties.

Introducing Wrapped Songs

As the core element of the protocol, Wrapped Songs represent what NFTs should be for music. A Wrapped Song contains all the necessary modules for a track to exist on-chain and move capital efficiently as a song requires from its ideation to market, with all the stakeholders that participate of each song (or group of songs) on it.

This approach manages the creation and segmentation of all royalties from the idea to the market.

Wrapped songs are the first tool of the songs protocol and the reason we are gathering funding is to set up the primitive and launch it to the world.
