Aloha! SurfHive is a community focused on Onboarding Surfers into Web3 and helping people from web3 to get in the water and learn how to surf.

We share and curate content about surfing, bodyboarding, skimboard, Stand-up paddling, and bodysurf on web3.

On the Impact side, we appreciate, fund, help organize beach cleanups and surf-related social inclusion projects, and are linked to regenerative crypto economics

SurfHive is a community of surfers, photographers, ocean culture enthusiasts, biologists, oceanographers, and projects involving the regeneration of the oceans within the web3 universe.

• SurfLimpo, a community on the Cambiatus platform to take care of the oceans from a social currency that you earn in beach cleanings, which you can exchange for other services in the community, see more at:
• SurfGuru, Brazil’s biggest online surfing community and forecast website, with 300k unique users and 2.5M visits per month.
• SurfGuru DAO on That's Gnarly is a new social movement owned by the community where surfers earn money for the content they create.
• Precious Plastic Espírito Santo solves the problem of plastic waste through recycling, we transform post-consumer plastic into more durable and valuable products. Our mission is to take environmental education to change the perception of disposables.
• Worldpackers is an online community that connects projects worldwide with volunteers who provide services and exchange these services for meals and accommodation. This partnership creates new possibilities to fund beach cleanups that were already done voluntarily with crypto here in Brazil. The Beach Clean Ups are one of those experiences that Worlpackers offers, which has been adding a change in people’s thinking about living these experiences with local communities.
• DeTrash mission is to reward, with the cRECY token, the community for correctly disposing of their garbage (whether it is collected at the beach or at home).
• ONG Todas para o Mar (TPM) uses surfing as a tool for inclusion in Maracaípe - PE by promoting events and educational activities focused on surfing, providing new life opportunities for women, children, and adolescents
• Route Brasil translates complex concepts of how to organize cleaning to encourage movement. They are responsible for organizing the team, ideas, and documents, raising funds, and sponsors.
• Bruno Limpezas de Praia suggests a contribution based on cleaning time. He posts content about beach cleaning on social media and encourages people to contribute, so the more people contribute, the more beaches he will clean. Each Mint in your NFT represents 45 minutes of cleaning!

What we've done?

09/2022 - Start our journey!

10/2022 - Onboarding 3+ institutions to produce content on the web3.

11/2022 - Strengthening SurfHive relationship with Route Brasil!

• We started coordinating volunteering projects in beach cleaning and social tokens and doing web3 education for regeneration projects.

12/2022 - We connect DAOs to NGOs with financial problems!

• TPM means "All -women- to the sea" which does a fundamentally important job in creating educational opportunities, as well as introducing routines and discipline for surfing, in addition to serving as a leisure option for children and adolescents in the community, improving the quality of life in the region.
• We started guiding, with educational objectives, projects involved in SurfHive weekly meetings to participate in Grants and Quadratic Funding Rounds

01/2023 - We started our community on Discord!

02/2023 - IRL Events for Impact Onboarding.

• SurfHive has written an Event Proposal for ReFi Spring for organizing beach cleanup events using web3 tools

03/2023 - Expand our partnerships, increase the visibility of our projects, and thank our community of surfers at Hive

• SurfGuru supports +10 NGOs, which range from social projects that encourage surfing and socio-educational activities, surf associations, championship support, UV shirt donation, beach cleaning, wave forecasting lessons, and much more!

Why?

• SurfHive aims to combine the passion for surfing and ocean culture with Web3 to create a stronger community.
• The community encourages regenerative crypto economics to say thank you and encourage positive actions such as beach cleaning and coordinating a more environmentally conscious surfing community.
• We want to start working with Impact's Onboarding, a strategy to encourage beach cleanups with cryptocurrency donations.

Beach Cleanups and Impact Onboarding

• More than 10+ people from our community organized 15+ beach cleanups and with more than 1 ton of waste removed.
• Thanks will help to grow our Impact Onboarding, with the use of Hypercerts and crypto reward.

Donations will go to the surf hive.eth wallet and will be spent on expanding the SurfHive platform and beach cleanup projects
