Traditional Dream Factory is the first web3-powered regenerative village in Europe 🌍. Since our inception in 2021, we have been dedicated to regenerating soils and souls together 🌱, transforming a 25-hectare retired poultry factory in Abela, rural Portugal, into a thriving regenerative hub.
At TDF, we're crafting a blueprint for a climate-resilient regenerative village. We are a diverse collective of doers, dreamers, entrepreneurs, creators, artists, and regenerators, all uniting to craft a regenerative future.
TDF has been a dynamic playground for experimentation for the past three years. Thousands of trees planted, vibrant food forests nurtured, and cutting-edge eco-friendly systems created. We've been experiencing, learning and working on what's needed to create a flourishing regenerative village.
Our Current Efforts: Keeping TDF Open for its Next Iteration in 2024
Our journey is at a pivotal moment, and we need support to keep TDF open and thriving in 2024. We're calling on the collective energy, support, and commitment of our community to usher TDF into its next chapter. Together, we believe we can make the next phase a reality.

We've started creating educational content, featuring guests, for subscribers to learn more about regeneration in practice —including regenerative agriculture, regenerative systems engineering, communities, and rituals — while supporting TDF financially to maintain its operations.

What We've Done Last Quarter
While 2023 has been a challenging year for TDF, as for much of the ecosystem, we've still had a blast expanding our regenerative actions, like reforestation and the vegetable garden, and bringing amazing people together to envision and work on new (and traditional) dreams.
We hosted a series of events this quarter, such as the Abela Art Faire, the Modern Dream Factory immersive community theatre from Kuba, and the Cabin DAO week.
We hosted the ReFi Week - organized by ReFi DAO, sponsored by Silvi, and supported by ReFi Lisboa, Regens Unite, and the Crypto Commons Association - a week-long event of workshops and collaborative sessions that brought together thought leaders and community members to share insights, co-create, and spark innovation within the ReFi space.
ReFi Week Planting Action
As part of the ReFi Week, we worked on putting some hypotheses of how ReFi can be used to represent and incentivize real-world positive action in practice.
We, with ReFi DAO and Silvi - that sponsored and incorporated MRV tools to make this possible - organized a planting action in which 700 trees were planted.
A Hypercert was minted to be the on-chain representation of the action and its impact, to which different data - such as images, attributes, and geolocations data collected through Silvi, and even drone recordings captured by ReFi Lisboa - are pointed to prove that the action has taken place. We're eager to explore how retroactive funding using Hypercerts could provide funding flows for regenerative actions like this and others we've been doing at the TDF.

Our Plans Ahead
Approved architectural plans await to evolve our co-living space. TDF is the first prototype in the OASA ecosystem - a Web3-powered nature conservancy network -, that is crafting a methodology that merges land and Web3 into a new form of commons.
🌿 Support the Cause: Join us in fueling TDF's growth. Every contribution, big or small, is indispensable in building our dream.
🚀 Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends, family, and network. Together, we can create waves of change.
