Developing an eco-friendly platform to simplify global author publishing and sales, focusing on affordable, direct reader purchases, sustainable printing, and a circular economy approach.

Vean is a research project (FPyCS, UNLP. ARG) that aims to revolutionize the publishing industry by providing a platform designed to make it simple for authors to publish, print and sell their copies anywhere in the world.

We are focusing on creating a medium that enables readers to purchase books directly from their authors at affordable prices, without requiring them to produce long print runs or generate backstock.

Our printing designs are not only easy to make, but also environmentally friendly, with a focus on improving their reproducibility. During the prototype stage, we will use the fanzine publishing format as a reference model, and adopt a circular economy approach to reuse paper and cardboard from waste. We will also use eco-friendly printing methods like riso to reduce our environmental impact.
