Advancing Web3 education and engagement with a focus on inclusivity, interactive learning, and community governance, Web3 Sanctuary seeks funding to expand and diversify its global reach.

Mission Statement: Web3 Sanctuary is dedicated to advancing the Web3 ecosystem through comprehensive, immersive education and community engagement. Our mission is to democratize access to Web3 knowledge, making it inclusive and accessible for all, especially underrepresented groups in technology.

Project Activity: Web3 Sanctuary has been active since March 2023, during which we've developed a vibrant community and extensive educational content. We are in closed beta, engaging daily with users across role-gated channels and have accumulated a waitlist of 3,500 individuals on our waitlist through organic outreach.

Project Details:

  • Community Growth Initiatives: Our platform encourages active participation through unique on-chain gamification, Side Quests, which immersively teaches Web3 skills.
  • Educational Material & Resources: We offer a variety of learning modalities, from interactive courses to mentorship, fostering a robust learning environment.
  • Content Creation: Web3 Sanctuary produces educational content, including YouTube tutorials, podcasts, and blogs, to spread Web3 knowledge widely.
  • Community-Building DAOs: We are exploring the creation of a DAO to further democratize education and allow community-driven governance.
  • User Onboarding: Our Side Quests feature is designed to onboard users by practically implementing skills in a safe Web3 environment.
  • Inclusion, Diversity, and Advocacy Programs: We actively work to empower women and other underrepresented groups through dedicated programs and partnerships.

Request for Funding: We are seeking funding to expand our educational resources, scale our community-building efforts, and enhance our platform's features to support more learners.

Impact Forecast: With the grant, we aim to:

  • Double our user base by Q2 2024.
  • Support >100 of our most talented users in creating and deploying web3 projects that solve social issues in Africa and globally.
  • Host hackathons to encourage web3 innovation in emerging markets and facilitate founders creating project teams.
  • Launch a DAO for community governance.
  • Expand our Side Quests to cover more protocols and ecosystems.
  • Partner with additional organizations to reach a broader audience, focusing on inclusion.
