zK-ENS for private on-chain credentials derived from peer-to-peer attestations.
We are building the future of decentralised education (starting with a DeSci Fellowship in May). We could not find a product that fit our needs of using ENS in combination with privacy-preserving methods and attestations. So we decided to build our own! We will be starting with DeSci but aiming to scale to multiple other domains.
The zK-ENS platform utilises peer-to-peer attestations, weighted by reputation, to grant users privacy-preserving on-chain credentials linked to their ENS handle.
It will initially be deployed during the teaching component of the inaugural MuseMatrix DeSci Fellowship. Fellows meet every week under the supervision of an expert (The Facilitator) and satisfactory attendance and work are attested to every week by all Fellows and the Facilitator. This builds an on-chain, private, composable, chain of attestations that serve as proof of learning .
We already have a development framework and will rapidly iterate the MVP week-by-week with fellows to ensure a functional product by the program's conclusion (which will be around July).
This can scale well beyond just a DeSci Fellowship, as the tech essentially replicates a digital apprenticeship model with peer-to-peer and privacy elements, making it relevant to various educational topics. It could also be used to monitor DAO contributions via weekly attestations though this is outside the scope of the MVP.
