The Zuzalu Hackathon 2023's Housing Tetris project, which won 2nd place, focused on optimizing housing allocation in Lustica Bay by automating operational processes, documentation, and stakeholder communication. This solution aims to support core organizers operationally by reducing the cost burden of the core team solving the housing tetris issues.
The project will replace manual housing selection, coordination, and financial auditing with a Housing Optimization Tool & Process, Automated Communications, and crypto passports for permissioning and Ethereum contracts. This will allow organizers to focus on weekly dashboard reviews and approvals.
Gitcoin Funding will support this hackathon project expansion.
Key features will support organizer focus on resident curation and housing portfolio management through a website (zuzalu.city) with integrated application forms, an admin dashboard, a visualization graph, airtable as the primary database, automated notifications, and payment tracking. Trade-offs such as resident preferences, housing capacity, and financial sustainability will be addressed.
Funding will be allocated to a bounty pool, incentivizing contributors to complete project tasks and milestones. Development stages are will be dependent on the Gitcoin funding:
Stage 1: Basic Implementation - Simple admin dashboard and basic Automated Communications, crypto passport integration Stage 2: Enhanced Features - Improved admin dashboard, crypto passports integration, and financial audit feature. Stage 3: Comprehensive Platform - Further development of admin dashboard, improved visualization, expanded Automated Communications, advanced crypto passport features, and optimized financial audit functionality.
