A Malayalam-focused media initiative educating and connecting 35 million potential users in Kerala, India, to the global crypto community through culturally-tailored content and events.

India ranks fourth on the global cryptocurrency adoption index, indicating a very potential market.

India is renowned for its incredible cultural diversity, with a rich tapestry of languages and ethnic groups. It is home to numerous languages. There are 22 officially recognised languages including languages like Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Bankless Malayalam is a media project which is a component of Bankless IMN [International Media Node], that is in a joint mission to educate and connect people with the global crypto community. We deals with Malayalam language which is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly in the Indian state of Kerala and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, which are located in the southern part of India. It is also spoken by Malayali communities in other parts of India and around the world. The total potential audience count is around 35 million by 2023.

Our mission is to reduce the cultural divide and empower people to increase the use of decentralised financial tools by creating educational materials in the Malayalam , organising local events in Kerala and promoting more active participation of people in the ecosystem.

Cryptocurrencies , Web-3 etc are new and somewhat alien concept for many people living in Kerala, India. The knowledge about these concepts hold the potential to revolutionise the way people think about finance and empower individuals on a global scale. By focusing on education, relevance, cultural sensitivity, and practical experience, we can bridge the gap and make cryptocurrencies an integral part of the financial landscape for everyone, regardless of their background or familiarity with the concept.

Bankless Malayalam have successfully completed more than one year of content production where we explain ideas that bridge gap with the audience and crypto related concepts, technologies, financial instruments etc. We create an average of 6 videos, newsletters, reels etc every month and each receives more than 1000 views monthly.

Bridging the gap between people and cryptocurrencies is not a one-time effort. it's a continuous journey. Donations are needed for Bankless-Malayalam in order to spread the Bankless movement in our language.

The goal of Bankless Malayalam is to inform, engage and empower the native speakers of Malayalam through Bankless content that create awareness about Web 3 education in many formats.
