We are thrilled to announce that the Bitcoin Pizza Day event is coming back to Buenos Aires this May!

As the crypto capital of Latin America and a pizza-loving city, at Welook we aim to make this year's edition four times better than the previous edition. Last year, we had over 1200 attendees, gave away 600 free pizzas, and minted 1000 POAPs. We are excited to take it to the next level!

As a team passionate about spreading knowledge and promoting the adoption of the blockchain based internet, we are proud to continue our annual global event that commemorates the first recorded commercial transaction using Bitcoin.

The event will take place in Buenos Aires, the heart of the crypto scene in Latin America and a leading producer and consumer of pizza. With a capacity for 1500 attendees and a base entry fee of $20 (with discounts available for token-gated NFT holders and participants from many local communities), we're bringing together builders, enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from across Latin America to network, learn, and have fun.

Our goal is to foster connections and build a stronger crypto community in the region. We'll have educational talks, networking opportunities, and plenty of fun activities, including a wide range of games and exciting prizes. We'll also have spaces with live artistic and visual experiences, where art and crypto will converge in a unique sculpture as blocks are mined.

Our main audience will be members of various local communities, students, builders, entrepreneurs, and crypto enthusiasts. The event will feature relaxed conversation spaces, panels, and short interviews in a dedicated space. We will also increase the number of games and create memorable experiences with incredible prizes!

As the team behind the infrastructure for events like ETHDenver 2023 and Schelling Point (at DevCon Bogotá and during ETHDenver), we're confident that we can make this event a huge success.

What’s Welook?

Of course, the event is a non-profit initiative, and we at Welook are applying for this grant to support the funding of the upcoming edition. The grant funds will be used to cover the venue rental, as well as provide a variety of pizzas that cater to different dietary needs, including vegan and gluten-free options. Additionally, we will allocate the funds towards creating an exceptional experience for our 1500 attendees, which will last from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm Argentine time.
