Bloomeria is a DAO connecting environmental projects with funders, leveraging blockchain for ESG commitments and enabling citizens to fund and manage green areas, using digital certificates to track contributions.

Bloomeria is a DAO that helps communities to acquire, manage and safeguard green areas.

  1. We connect environmental organizations and companies willing to fund meaningful projects.
  2. We help fund reforestation and conservation projects
  3. We help companies prove their ESG commitments through blockchain technology

Safeguarding green areas is needed to tackle the following challenges : climate change adaptation and biodiversity degradation.

Bloomeria partners with existing environmental organizations that have conservation and/or reforestation projects. This enables those organizations to access new sources of funding, in cryptocurrency. Bloomeria mints digital certificates on Polygon to finance protected areas. Digital certificates contains the following information :

  • Project geographical datas ;
  • Pictures of the areas / trees
  • CO2 estimate of carbon sequestration ;
  • biotic index ;
  • Bloomeria global governance voting rights ;
  • Project voting rights (if applicable).

Bloomeria also enables citizens to raise funds and manage their own protected areas thanks to Bloomeria’s tools. Our project is linked to a legal structure in the physical world (we are an international non-profit organization).

Bloomeria is a service platform. It will provide fundraising tools, collaborative management instruments, administrative simplification, as well as the increased visibility stemming from its international network.

What did we achieve since Gitcoin Grant 15 ?

We now provide a simplified view of your relevant on chain actions through :

A dedicated company page on Bloomeria’s website with:

  • All your on chain actions presented in a graphic and interactive way.
  • Links to drill down into the details, for example the photos of the real trees you have financed
  • A widget you can embed on your website to show your offset and biodiversity boost metrics, that redirect to your company’s page

We are also developing a self-service web3 app to mint NFTrees. Bloomeria will moderate the content and approves the NFTrees. The app will be free to use and Bloomeria will pay for gas.

What are our next steps ?

We want people to use, try our app and send us feedback to improve it. People, companies and organizations are welcome to use our app and ask for NFTrees creation for free. We indeed want to improve our app design and user experience.
