Who we are

Dream DAO is a community-centric decentralized organization dedicated to molding the synergy between web3 technology and social impact. We channel our efforts into empowering a new generation of diverse, globally-spread Gen Z individuals 🌍🧑‍🤝‍🧑, equipping them with the skills, funding, mentorship, and opportunities necessary to leverage web3 for positive change.

Our Composition:

Our ecosystem is comprised of enthusiastic Builders 👷‍♀️ (youth aged 15-20) and seasoned Champions 🏆 (veteran industry leaders), collaboratively driving the DAO's mission forward.

1. Empowering Learning Communities: 📚

We've established an empowering, knowledge-sharing series called “Learning Together” held twice a week with industry pioneers. We encourage builders to attend (and even host) IRL events, and provides opportunities to intern at impact-oriented web3 organizations.

Our Dream DAO Explorers Program is a two-month immersive internship for budding innovators, charting their path in the web3 x social impact space.

We facilitate inspirational gatherings, encouraging the integration of regenerative principles in web3.

How will we achieve a future of web3-powered social impact?

We believe that one of the best investments in humanity is Gen Z (the builders of the future) and, within Gen Z, we believe the highest leverage opportunity to realize their potential is to teach them how to leverage the most powerful emerging technology: web3.

We consider web3’s ability to impact the world positively depends on the web3 builder community collectively looking a lot more like how the world looks and is more driven by social impact purpose.

Dream DAO is a key driver in helping make this a reality.

Members of the Dream DAO will go on to build world-changing DAOs, create web3 x social impact projects that make unprecedented progress on entrenched social issues, and become moral and tech-savvy leaders of their respective industries. We owe it to our progeny to leave the world better than we found it. A web3 native institution that produces web3-powered civic superheroes is a public good if we've ever seen one.

Our Impact so far?

Our project is important because The Dream DAO is the first organization to build a pipeline of Gen Z talent and to equip them to work effectively at the intersection of web3 and social impact. We aspire to attract the best young talent and to channel significant crypto capital to develop thousands of Gen Z civic innovators by 2030.

🌟 Since Dream DAO was launched in December 2021, we have impact achievements:

• 🎓 Conducted 70+ 'Learning Together' sessions. bringing leaders from different spaces across web3 to give a talk about a topic of their choice that fits Dream DAO's mission of leveraging the web3 x social impact space.
• 🎟️ Sponsored 20+ Builders to attend premier web3 events like NFT NYC, Web3Conf Goa, ETHMexico, and Devcon VI**, with our community winning 3 awards in the ETHMexico hackathon.
• 🤝 Fostered partnerships for internships. Partnered with Organizations like Celo’s Climate Collective, AERA Force, Protein and dOrg to host over 15 Dream DAO builders to intern in their organizations, giving them their first working experience and an additional stipend to leverage their studies and lives.
• 🧑‍🏫 Launched a 2-month mentorship program, matching a dozen Builders with Champions for direct mentorship and guidance.
• 🏋️ Launched and hosted the first DreamDAO Bootcamp; an intensive month of Web3 learnings for 43 young leaders that applied to join the DAO. We taught our new builders the foundations of blockchain technology, web3, and their social impact potential, while also onboarding them as contributors to the DAO.

The Future?

By 2030, Dream DAO will have directly supported hundreds of Gen Z builders to impact their local communities and the world, trained them to start social impact DAOs and orgs that focus on public goods, and inspired over a thousand more Gen Zers outside of the DAO to explore and work in the web3 x social impact space.

Season 5 Vision

This season new structures, opportunities, and evolvement are coming to Dream DAO. Besides the **areas of focus,**we have been following in the past couple of years since the DAO was launched, we are now working towards a new future.

Since November 2021 kickoff, we have realized that is not just important to educate GenZ on web3 and help them to be onboarded in the space. We also have to support and engage in the creation of their own projects, initiatives, and support, mainly, on-the-ground work.

For this next semester, in which Dream DAO Season Five will be taking part, we plan to launch a new learning pathway for our new and existing builders:

• a capstone project program, in which builders can get together, either as a team or individually mentoring one another, to ideate and build a prototype of their own public good;
• study group sessions for those focused on web3 literacy;
• community events that will engage you, our amazing external supporters that do deserve to engage more with our DAO mission;
• Through the explorers program and then the rangers program we are bringing an on-the-ground bounties platform that will allow builders to contribute, more actively, with different organizations that are doing local hands-on-working impact;
• onboard new builders (20-25 GenZs) to flourish with our community and keep our mission within the web3 x social impact ecosystem.

Crucially, Gitcoin funding is vital for supporting the DAO operations that will allow Dream DAO to continue to work towards its mission to onboard thousands of GenZ leaders into the web3 social impact space over the coming years.
