An African pilot project in Uganda integrates Web3 and sustainability into education, aiming to empower students and promote ecological practices using web technologies and local collaboration.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO

E-Shule Project aims to help to introduce sustainability and Web3 in African schools, empowering a new generation of African students to face the complex challenges of the near future.

E stands for Ecology, Empowerment, and Electronic. The project will begin as a pilot in one Ugandan school, which will serve as a model for future expansion to other schools if successful.

Key stakeholders involved in the project will include students, teachers, and parents. Collaboration with local communities, schools, and other relevant stakeholders will be essential for the project's success.

HOW DO WE WANT TO DO IT

The primary approach is to embrace the web3 ideology, which involves using decentralized identity systems and ecosystems to empower students and staff. This will be achieved by integrating web3 technologies into the school's educational resources and activities. The project will focus on teaching the students and school population about sustainability and positivity for the future world. This will involve hands-on learning experiences, allowing the students to learn by doing, which will give them valuable skills for a better future. To implement the project, funding will be required to procure essential resources, including Starlink internet for connectivity, solar power systems for sustainable energy, eco stoves for eco-friendly cooking solutions, and fruit trees for planting as part of sustainable practices. Regular monitoring and evaluation will be conducted to track progress, measure impact, and identify areas for improvement to ensure the project's effectiveness and sustainability.
