We are creating an adaptive grant framework to optimize the connection between grant operators and grantees, improving efficiency through customization, automation, and enhanced user experiences within the Web3 ecosystem.

We are developing an Adaptive Grant Framework to improve the connection between grant operators and grantees. By providing customized experiences and automating key processes, our platform will enhance the effectiveness of the grant ecosystem.

Introduction

In the Web3 ecosystem, efficient resource allocation is crucial for deploying human capital through financial grants. However, the landscape is highly fragmented, with each ecosystem, product, or DAO solving only part of the problem. This fragmentation leads to significant inefficiencies, making it challenging for grant operators and grantees to achieve their goals.

Problem Statement

Key issues in the current system include:

  • Fragmentation: The grant process is disjointed, resulting in inefficiencies for users.

  • Lack of Personalization: The current approach fails to cater to the diverse needs of individual talents and teams, leading to a mismatch between available opportunities and the right skills.

  • Suboptimal User Experience: The existing system results in a lack of sustained engagement and unfulfilled potential, as users often find the process too cumbersome or misaligned with their needs.

Proposed Solution

Our solution is to create a modular and composable foundation to facilitate matching between operators and grantees. Instead of developing a new product, we aim to build an extendable framework and interface that leverages existing tools and grant programs, offering:

  1. Integration with Web3 Grant Registry: Our platform will interact seamlessly with the Web3 Grant registry to ensure efficient access to grant opportunities and resources.

  2. Profiling and Tailored Processes: Implement a profiling system to customize each talent's journey.

  3. Enhanced User Experience: Improve the interface to increase engagement and better align opportunities with skills.

  4. Role Management and Personas: Implement the Hats Protocol and reputation systems to manage access and responsibilities. This will help create dynamic role assignments and refine personas based on reputation and contributions.

  5. Automation: Integrate automation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  6. Support for Long-term Growth: Facilitate the growth journey of teams and projects from ideation to sustainability, providing resources and guidance at each stage.

  7. Use Cases:

  • Efficient talent matching;
  • Frictionless application process;
  • Short / Medium / Long term Project growth.

Strategic Objectives

  1. Understand Talent and Opportunity Needs: Identify and optimize user journeys for talent and opportunity alignment.

  2. Technology Integration: Leverage existing tools to address unmet technology needs.

  3. Composable Interface: Develop a flexible interface that integrates with existing platforms, particularly the Web3 Grant registry.

Scope of Work

Our approach includes the following milestones:

Milestone #1: Define Personas: Research and define personas to create tailored journeys.

Milestone #2: Role Management System: Implement a comprehensive role management system using Hats Protocol and reputation systems.

Milestone #3: Tailored Views: Develop personalized pathways for each persona.

Milestone #4: Automation: Integrate automation to enhance efficiency.

Milestone #5: Long-term Growth Support: Establish resources and strategies to aid teams and projects in evolving from ideation to sustainable operations.

Milestone #6: Use Cases: Highlight examples to demonstrate platform capabilities.

Conclusion

This proposal aims to secure funding for the ideation and research phase, enabling us to implement these improvements. By focusing on profiling, user experience and strategic integration, particularly with the Web3 Grant registry, the Cartographer Collaboration platform will advance growth and innovation within the Web3 grant ecosystem.
