Giveth is a transparent, open-source donation platform enabling crypto donations for impact projects, with rewards for donors and features like multi-chain support and quadratic funding rounds.

Giveth is a community focused on building the future of giving by facilitating real-world impact initiatives to integrate with web3, granting them access to innovative fundraising methods and engaging them with new communities of supporters, all while encouraging them to explore the possibilities of blockchain technology.

Our recent milestones have been HUGE! Last year our community donated over $558k to verified public goods projects on Giveth and got $180k worth of GIV from GIVbacks in return. Since the start of 2024, we’ve seen over $250k of donations to projects & welcomed 34 new verified public goods projects on the platform. We also hosted quadratic funding rounds, brought our donation platform to seven chains and networks, and launched loads of features including a project curation program, a rewards-based referral program, our own pfp collection, and our website in multiple languages. Now we’re working on optimizing our platform to attract more impact projects & new donors, while also setting our sights on DAOifying nonprofits.

Giveth.io is an open source, radically transparent, user-friendly donation platform that allows anyone to open crypto funding portals by creating projects for positive impact, with zero added fees and no intermediaries. Donors are also rewarded for giving to a wide range of projects that cover the field of for-good ventures such as feeding the homeless, funding community currency projects, and promoting planetary well-being. Want to support public goods? It's all on Giveth! Projects can be created in minutes; donors can make contributions in seconds. Currently Giveth is live on Ethereum Mainnet, Gnosis Chain, Polygon, Optimism, Celo, Ethereum Classic and Solana.

100% of every donation goes directly to the project, and we reward donors to verified projects (and their referrers) with GIV. Learn more about our GIVbacks program here.

Upcoming Goals

The following is a list of new products, partnerships, and features that we have already begun building or are researching. Our ability to execute on these goals is dependent on fundraising and the success of our economy, so if you want to support the Future of Giving, please add us to your cart and donate!

In Progress

  • Integrating Superfluid to enable recurring donations to projects on Giveth.
  • Integrating Allo Protocol to allow projects to use certain features of Giveth easier.
  • Integrating other L1s and L2s to allow projects more options for fundraising, Arbitrum being one of them.
  • Enhancing the UX for signing in and browsing projects so that donors can navigate the dApp more easily.
  • Improvements to QF to make rounds easier to run on the dApp.
  • Helping projects become more successful with improved onboarding guides and project creation flow.

In the Pipeline & Under Research

  • Improve our quadratic funding round UX so that multiple QF rounds can happen simultaneously.
  • Develop a “cart” checkout feature to enable bulk transaction donating on Giveth.
  • Develop Giveth Public APIs.
  • Deploy a decentralized project attestation system, allowing trusted ecosystem members to attest if a project is a public good.
  • Support projects in launching their own reputation systems to govern their donations as DAOs.

Achievements as part of the Glo Constorium

USDGLO is supported for donations on Giveth on multiple chains (Ethereum Mainnet, Optimism, Polygon and Celo). Users can donate to over 2000 projects on Giveth in Glo Dollars (USDGLO. Donations to verified Giveth projects in USDGLO are eligible for GIVbacks! With GIVbacks, we give donors GIV when they donate USDGLO to vetted public goods projects. You can also find Glo as a featured project on Giveth. Our recent Giving season QF round matching pool was $25k in USDGLO (in part thanks to sponsorship from Glo Dollar), meaning that 85 verified public goods projects were on boarded into the Glo ecosystem as a result.

Let’s Glo!

We are always excited to grow our community and support web3 innovations, integrating Glo in our ecosystem enhances the philanthropy embedded in our project. The plans for this grant are:

  1. Add USDGLO as a donation token option for any new chains we integrate. Currently we are looking forward to adding Arbitrum to our DApp and welcoming USDGLO on Arbitrum with it.
  2. If we raise >$5k from donations & matching funds in this grant, we will pair that USDGLO with GIV for liquidity. This will create even more liquidity volume for USDGLO.
  3. If we collect <$5k we will use the USDGLO for salaries, to support further adoption of this poverty-supportive stable coin by onboarding our paid contributors to the ecosystem.

Thank you for helping us Build the Future of Giving. We appreciate your support! Any amount helps <3
